Night Operations DLC download:
Some of you may receive a message saying "You need to download the expansion to play" when trying to access the night maps. This is due to the fact that the DLC download is separate from today's patch. To download the Night Operations DLC, please follow the below instructions:
For PC:
Go to the store and search for "Night Operations" and press enter. On the next page select "add to cart" and then hit "checkout" from the next pop-up. On the next page you will need to accept the T&C's for the sale (which will be free). Once you hit pay now, it will process the order and give you the option to download the DLC. Once you click download, it will appear in the game details of BF4 under the expansions tab and will download as normal.
Please note you will NOT be charged for the purchase as this DLC is free.
For Xbox 1 and 360:
Go to the XBL Marketplace and search for "Night Operations". Select the Night Operations tile on the next screen. On the next page click on "Get it Free". Once you select this it will ask to confirm. Hit confirm and the download will begin. Once completed you will not have access to the Night Operations DLC.
For PS4 and PS3:
PS4 NA will be live later today, for Asia, it will be live tomorrow morning.
To download:
Search the PSN store for Night Operations. Select the tile that appears. On the next page hit add to cart (will show as free) then confirm the purchase and the download will begin.
We are working with Sony Europe to release Night Operations as soon as possible. That date is set for September 8th, and we are excited to hop on the servers with you once it drops.

You would think that you would tell your customers that they have to download Night Operation after downloading that 4gb update!!! i download the update and it doesnt let me play only to find out OH I HAVE TO GO DOWNLOAD IT MYSELF!

If EA had made Night Operations a part of the main game and have it download automatically people would have complained about that too 😛

It should be out now on PS4 if Sony has updated it and if it's not in your area yet it soon will be. (Unless you live in Europe). Have you tried clearing the cache? According to a Google search you do it by:
