Terrible packet loss and lags in BF1 and BF4

Since the second half of March i have terrible packet loss, rubber banding, lags in both BF4 and BF1. Other multiplayer games (not EA games) runs without problems.

What i have already done:

-of course, closed every program on the computer which i don't need to run the game (so basically just origin had run on my computer) (i closed antivirus, firewall, torrent too).

-different dns server

-change modem

-change router

-change cables

-try the games on different computer

-opening ports

-if i send echos with ping command to a server i don't see anything interesting. The packets just arrives to the server in time (<50ms) without loss.

BF1 is even worse than BF4 because it is not just lagging but also disconnect from the game after a couple of minutes.

Yeah that's * EA. I was able to run the game just fine a few months back. No problems whatsoever. I've tried getting into it again recently and its often unplayable. My ISP hasn't changed. I play on US servers which is where I'm from. It pisses me off to no end that everytime this issue is brought up you try to blame the user. You make us go through all this * to fix the problem but with nothing to show for it. How is it that there are no issues with ANY other multiplayer game except BF1 if the problem is on our end? How is it that the problem started after we were able to play the game just fine for some months? Does that make sense? No, it doesn't.

In this case it was the users own internet connection, that's really the only conclusion you can take away from this thread.

Also, yes that can make sense, something can work fine one moment and then not work another. Things break, networking equipment and their settings aren't immune. Now I can't say what's wrong in your case, you have to perform troubleshooting to find out. It could be on your end, it could be on EA/DICEs end, it could be somewhere in between. Coming with accusations here will not help solve the problem I'm afraid. As a start I would recomment using UOTrace like the OP https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic/

  • Hey @guftabi96 Thanks for all that details and information you gathered! 🙂

A few more questions from me, what region are you playing in and do you have a time stamp for that  photo?

  • -Central Europe (so most of the time i play on german servers).

    -Unfortunately I don't have.

Hey, @guftabi96 thanks for coming back to me! Can you take a screenshot of a new network graph with the instance number in BF1 for us and a time stamp?

    Thanks! :D

  • Are these good?

I was speaking to one of the support advisors yesterday, he suggested me a lot of things, but unfortunately nothing have changed ☹️

We used UOTrace, which showed us where is the packet loss come from (i also sent it to my network provider). We opened some new ports, tried clean boot, flush dns, reset host file,

Hey, @guftabi96 Thanks for coming back! 🙂

I'm sorry to say but your network is not good, you are losing data/packet loss when sending data to us. And it's not at your home but after your ISP sends the data on.

0 or 100% is good if it 100% it means the data is sent and not recorded. What you can do is talk to your ISP and show them the full Uo-trace and show them the issues you are having.
