Solved

The connection to EA online has been lost!

I keep disconnecting from EA servers. I had this problem 2 years ago and I gave up trying to fix it in the end. I thought I would try my luck 2 years on and at first everything appeared to be ok, so it's started happening again, I cannot complete a single game on BF4 or BF1 without it kicking me out, it's incredibly frustrating.

I am running a wired connection, all the ports are open, static IP, router has been reset numerous times, IPS sees no issues, restored to factory settings and re-configured, re-installed operating system, no anti-virus or firewall running.

Every time I get the same message "The connection to EA online has been lost"

Attached is results of UO trace, doesn't appear to be any problems there.

Thanks

  • That's really good to know, thanks for your help @CyberDyme!

I've finally got a response from the VirginMedia forums, 3 weeks on, this was their response:

"I have taken a look and I can see that the downstream modem SNR is a little on the low side which can cause issues. " which I'm not sure if that corroborates with what you have said.

They are booking an engineer to come out for me. I'm going to show your response to the engineer if you don't mind, as whilst I don't fully understand it hopefully they will and can sort the problem out.

I'll post the results here just in case anyone else is having the same problems.

Appreciate you helping me out and hopefully see you on the Battlefield!

    Hey everyone,

This morning I bought BF4 and have installed both discs on my Xbox360. Once I load the game is says the connection with EA online was lost. Ive hard wired my Xbox into my router. My live account is working. Ive call Xbox and they say on there end everything is fine. I cant find a number to call EA directly. Someone mentioned running a VPN but I dont have a internet adapter to connect to my laptop. Has anyone been going through this?

  • This is on the older side of time, I'm closing this thread to stop it from being necroed.

If you have any issues with Battlefield 4, please make a new topic about your problems and what kind of steps you have tried to solve them.

    /Atic
