Two accounts on same internet can't connect to same server

I've been trying to play with a friend now, sitting next to each other using the same internet, joining the same server.

Either I get kicked or he get's kicked, no matter which server.

We solved this by using my mobile phone as a router, but I find no reason why it should be a problem for both of us to be using the same internet?

    This happens sometimes. Mostly between an unlucky pairing of router and game. The problem is that your router is making errors when two clients are connected to the same IP which causes one to disconnect. There's many ways people have solved this on their particular routers for specific games, here's some:

    • Change the UPnP setting,
    • Disable the DHCP server feature and manually assign static IP's to all devices
    • Upgrade Firmware on router
    • Removing of extra hardware like switches
    • Buying 2 public IP addresses from your ISP
