Unable to connect to online services

Missing Multiplayer Privileges

"Online features will be unavailable.  See www.help.ea/article/unable-to-connect-to-online-servers."

This message pops up every time I try to play multiplayer, thought it could be my EA account was not verified.  Went through the process of recovering my account to verify correct info.  Everything is good and up to date.  The directed web page offers no help, all suggested solutions were tried to no avail.  I am at a loss, unsure how to proceed.  No issues with internet connection either.  any help is appreciated

    Hey @tsayers000,

This issue seems to be related to the account. Please take a look at this article for tips on how to find out if the problem is account-related.

If the problem is not related to the account, then I'd suggest trying these steps for connection issues. But in case a different account works and you're playing on console, you would have to contact PSN/Xbox Support. If you're on PC, feel free to contact EA Help

  • For the “Missing Multiplayer Privileges” issue, ensure your EA and Xbox accounts have no restrictions and your subscriptions like Xbox Live are active. If the problem persists, try resetting your console settings or contact EA and Xbox support for further assistance. aarp membership cost

So I was beating my head against this for a week and recently found out that my EA account was "linked" to an incorrect Xbox live email address (account) since it was so old. EA had replaced it with [edit: email address removed]. I got EA support to remove the disabled xbox live account, and relinked the correct one then was able to launch the game via the game pass and connect to the servers.

Even if your profile doesnt say "unlink" on the xbox live section, click link, it might spit out an error saying something like the one I attached. Have support remove that email and relink Xbox and it may fix it for you too.

I have NOT tried redownloading it on steam to confirm if that was the issue, or if steam in general was the issue. But I can say 100% having [edit: email address removed] unlinked from my EA account did fix and I do have access again through the Xbox game pass version.

My best guess is that there was some authentication issue with the servers, and it was pulling that disabled account for online. Its super odd because I did not have any issues with Starwars battlefront 2 or 2042, only this game.

I hope this helps save everyone some time <3
