Unable to play web browser stuck on waiting for update/ installation of game

So I just started playing BF4 after about 1 year of owning the game. I try to play it on line but it said I needed updates.  So I update the browser plugin and that works.  Next it tells me to update...

Can you download updates through webpages? or the only way is it to download it through ps3 game bf4?
