Re: [Battlefield 1] Ongoing Server Attacks – Mass Kicks, Random Disconnects
Dear EA/DICE Support Team,
My EA ID is xhk36, and I am a dedicated Battlefield 1 player from the Asia region. I am writing to urgently report the severe, ongoing DDoS-like attacks making Asia servers nearly unplayable since early March 2026 (starting around March 5 following the recent EAAntiCheat update).
Detailed Issue:
- All Asia servers (official and private, any player count from 1-64) suffer random high ping spikes (999+ ms), mass player disconnections, Error Code 1 on reconnect, and full server drops mid-match – often every few minutes.
- Attacks follow a clear pattern: heavily concentrated in East Asia daytime/afternoon/evening (approx. 11:00-24:00 UTC+8), with significantly fewer incidents after midnight – strongly indicating targeted, intentional DDoS.
- EU and NA servers remain mostly stable, confirming region-specific targeting (Asia-focused).
Player Impact:
The Asia community is rapidly shrinking as players migrate to EU/NA servers (150-220 ms ping) or abandon the game. Long-time fans like myself (hundreds of hours invested) feel frustrated that an iconic title is being eroded without sufficient protection.
Requests:
1. Prioritize DDoS Mitigation for Asia Servers – Investigate urgently and enhance protections (e.g., advanced traffic scrubbing, better regional routing, or partnerships with DDoS mitigation providers). Any improvements would restore fair play.
2. Public Update/Statement – Please acknowledge the issue officially so the community knows it’s being addressed.
3. Promotions/Discounts on Classic Battlefield Series – Many veterans have waited years for sales on Battlefield 1, Battlefield V, etc. A timely discount event (e.g., during this difficult period) would boost morale, encourage returns, and show support for loyal players.
I can provide screenshots of ping logs, disconnect errors, and community discussions (from Reddit, Twitter, Bilibili videos) if needed. Many other Asian players experience the same and would back this report.
Thank you for your attention – Battlefield 1 remains a favorite, and we hope for a stable Asia experience soon.
Best regards,

P.S. Anyway, I really hope someone can help us. There are still over 1,000 players in China who love and stay active in this cyber World War I. We truly don’t want to see this cyber WWI end like this – we haven’t even witnessed its 10th anniversary yet 😭😭...
Repeated anti-cheat updates have mistakenly banned countless veteran players’ accounts. The long-term lack of discounts means no fresh blood (new players) is being injected here anymore...
The game was already in a slow death spiral, and this DDoS attack – is it meant to completely destroy it?
My words here are deliberately measured, but the player base has long been seething with justified anger and frustration.
So I plead once again to all players who still love Battlefield 1 and the Battlefield series: Help us! My single voice is too weak; we need more people speaking out. Only an ear-shattering cry can wake up EA. Dear friends, the fight isn’t over! Europeans, North Americans, Oceanians... friends from all over the world – we need your help! This is the battle for survival!
We’ve already launched a manpower server warning plan: 3-4 people join a random server, using human wave tactics to drain the despicable DDoS attackers’ funds. Battlefield players, take action! EA team, stop pretending to be dead – GET MOVING!!!!
