(battlefield 4 downloaded via origin) i have deleted and reinstalled battlefield 4. i have repaired the game i have reinstalled vcredist_x64.exe & vcredist_x86.exe both in admin setting's. i have rebooted my pc. and i still get this error. so now what do i need do as when i was using windows 8.1 i never got this error .i only got this when i upgraded to windows 10.

i for the second time have uninstalled battlefield 4 via the program uninstall in windows. then i used system mechanic to do a full check and remove all things bad. then i rebooted. then i downloaded ccleaner and let it do a check for all things bad and removed over 3gb of stuff. then i rebooted again and downloaded battlefield 4 via origin. .

it look's like windows 10 and anything EA is a no go and i am not about to throw money away on thing's that do not work.

  • That link solved it for me; the microsoft page automatically downloaded the program. I ran the program, asked it to "repair", and afterwards BF4 worked again.
(The issue came up for me after the big Win10 update on Nov. 16, 2015)

    Origin reinstall didnt work

  • I found out how to fix this!!

    1) Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4__Installer\vc\vc2012Update3\redist and launch the vcredist_x86 and vcredist_x64 and uninstall both of them. Delete them from the folder as well.

    2) Download the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 from this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145 and drag the vc_redist.x64 and vc_redist.x86 into the redist folder.

    3) Launch them both and install them both from the redist folder.

    4) Launch the game and have fun!

If you still havn't fixed it yet, here's what worked for me. Just right click on BF4 in the My Games section on Origin, hit game properties, switch to x86, launch it, switch back to x64, and reinstall the vcredist files. Then exit origin, run as administrator and it should work. Also, (this happened to me but I probably just hit ctrl+t on accident) if the game launches in the white-red-blue 3-D mode, just hit ctrl+t to switch to 2-D. Hope this helps.
