What is the poem in Battlefield 1 "Storm of steel"->"Break of dawn"

I was just re-playing the first story of the Battlefield 1 where you keep dyeing and I really liked the poem/ what the narrator is saying and I was wondering if this was an actual poem or if it was just something that EA created to add effect to the game.

I'm taking it you mean this: - They push. We push. Every once and a while we push hard enough that the light breaks through the clouds and a world beyond the war glimmers. Just out of reach. The war is the world, and the world is the war. But behind every gun sight is a human being. We are those people. We are the jaded..... as taken from the prologue

I literally don't think this was penned by anyone from that era if that's the case, and expertly crafted by the writers behind the game

However it does keep fantastically in with style of the poets and writers of the Lost Generation, and if you like that you should check out some Sassoon and Owen

    Hope this helps
