When will the "BF is a casual game" myth end?

I am not here to blame anything or anybody, I just want a clear admission, that Bf was never a casual game, at least in terms of providig long term fun for casual player with lower playtime and most importantly way lesser skills vs. the hardcores playing the game 5+ hours daily with the most op guns with no relation to their historical use.

Well, basically Battlefield was always a Teamplay based game even tho it was not something like a "Rainbow 6 Siege" that really cares about playing tactical.

But still was more fun and you had more success in the fight when playing in a squad with friends and stick together.

If you ignore some specific game modes we have in Battlefield for now that require more tactical gameplay, the general modes like a simple Conquest match or TDM are pretty casual enjoyable also if you play by yourself.

For sure in every game there is Pro's that specifically play this one game more than others and have way more time in general to play games cause others have more stuff to do in private life.

And as in every game it's all about getting better by playing more and getting used to it, especially in Battlefield the Map knowledge and weapons handling is changing alot.

  • Large scale conquest and rush would be incredible with organized team structure.  These game modes are only considered "casual" because people have chosen to play them any way that they want.  In most cases that means ignoring the objectives of the game mode altogether.  It is these players that are calling this series "casual."

Well, if you're a casual players the do stats really matter? That's my question 🙂

I personally experienced it that way, as i started playing it i kept dying so fast but as mor i got used to my weapons/equipment and learned the maps + figure out how most peoples tactics are on certain maps then it got better and better and at some point i was one of them people complained about as well. 😅

Now for example if i come back to the game after let's say 2 years of not playing it, i get rekt so easy again until i really get back into it.

So as more experience you get in the game as better it'll get, for sure if you have less time to play than others it'll take longer and others will always be a step ahead.

That's all i can tell you about this topic 🙌

The only advice i can give you to look for only official DICE servers or official DLC ones to play on as they have standard settings and mkre casual players join them als by quick match.

If you join a server rented by a player with a specific name and settings, there is usually the same players on it most of the time which are probably playing together a lot and are especially used to this server settings and maps.

  • @WorthlesUnderman You cant really take this game seriously with all the obvious and more subtle hackers ruining any chance for actual competitive play.

The game sure looks, sounds and plays spectacularly. But I find myself playing Planetside 2 instead If I want to play more seriously.

Battlefield will always be a casual game.

As this huge amount of weapons, gadgets and vehicles you can choose to mess around with and those large maps gives you so much freedom ro play any way you want.

And it's not forcing you or even be necessary to be a competitive player to enjoy it. 🙌

It's all up to the experience you have on the Battlefield to be better than others.
