Why did the Battlefield series lose it's quality?

People clearly showed their distaste for the most recent COD's, why did Battlefield seemingly go to their end of the FPS spectrum? I'm a long time Battlefield fan, but in Hardline i find no joy. I wa...

it didnt its just that they did a spin-off with hardline look forward to battlefront and the newly announced bf5 and ea pushes dice to make the game faster which is why bf4 was sketchy at launch
