Why has EA falsly advertised battlefield one

For the last month or so ive been less than happy about the maintenance of the battlefield one servers. mostly about the spawn points not working correctly and weapons not changing when selected ( changing from primary to secondary weapons ) aswell as vehicles disappearing whilst being used. But my latest problem has me outraged! upon hearing about premium trials i was like everyone else excited, but to my surprise the double xp they advertised along with it was only for premium members. Something which they neglected to advertise. So upon finishing a match on a premium map i was confronted by a message that read 'xp locked, to unlock xp earned in this match buy premium '. Now as like with many people im sure, i thought screw it ill play the base game. But even now thats been tampered with! ALL WEAPONS ARE LOCKED! apart from what you get as a lvl 1! And ALL yes ALL vehicles have been locked! So its either buy premium or get your game nerfed! yet again something which isnt advertised! This entire thing stinks like a pathetic attempt at a money grab at the expense of thier customers! You ought to be ashamed!

  • Where do you see this supposed false advertising @bubble1209 ?

Looking at all official sources like https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/premium-trials-play-new-maps-for-free it clearly says:

Note that only owners of a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass or Battlefield 1 They Shall Not Pass will earn XP from the expansion’s maps. XP is saved for everyone else and will be granted retroactively if a player later decides to get a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass. Also, only owners of a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass or the specific expansion pack can spawn in with weapons and vehicles unique to the expansion. The same goes for tracking progress towards the expansion’s unique medals and codexes.

Also, as this is not a technical issue I'll move this thread to game info.

  • Are you referring to the article that was uploaded on the 20th? im guessing so since thats all that was said about it... An correct me if im wrong but the 'event' started 24 hours before that! So clearly a crappy attempt at covering your backside 👎

Well @bubble1209 - I ask again, as you conveniently ignore that part of my post, where have you seen the false advertising? You claim I tried to be "covering up" something in a crappy way. I would claim that your claim that EA has falsely advertised something falsely, is crap, if you can't even back it up with any evidence.

The first post on Battlefield.com about Premium Trials was https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/road-ahead-for-battlefield-1-revolution-coming from the 7/7/2017 and that post only claimed to hint to what Premium Trials would entail. Everything else I've seen have only claimed that Premium Trials would gain access to the maps and nothing more.

  • Upon logging into the game it states 'premium trials, 2xp' so where in that does it state the non premium members will get nerfed??? clearly it doesn't! Just like f all was mentioned about it until the day after by which time myself and countless others complained. Futhermore the battlefest pop up as you log in states the same but still fails to mention what they have taken away from none premium members and the fact 2xp is simply for premium members. So as i said before FALSE ADVERTISING AND MISLEADING CUSTOMERS! [removed offensive language and personal attack]

  • oh and i have scrrenshots of all the info that was released regarding this so yeah i really have no evidence hmmmm.

It says Premium Trials now active. 2xp now active. The names of two events which is currently active is mentioned in the spot reserved for current events. No false advertising there.
Again, if you actually read the news in game about the events they clearly states what's included for non Premium members and what's not,

Now, as you breached the Terms of Service by writing personally attacking people with offensive language I'll lock this thread. Please read https://www.ea.com/terms-of-service
