Xbox ELITE controller button mapping

I am trying to use my xbox one elite controller to fly in BF4, but the buttons are all mixed up...wont let me throttle up, down or shoot. lets me use the stick and yaw left/right. Does anyone know, does it base the controls off the Joystick under settings? Is that where I have to mess around and find which buttons to change? Because I see no "controller" option to change buttons.  Thanks for any help.

To edit the Elite Controller layout, you must download and use an app called "Xbox Accessories".  Your button layout will stay the same in-game, so you must move buttons around on the app to get the config you want.  So say I want knife to be RB, but it is usually B on my layout.  I would have to program RB to be the B button in the app.

As far as your throttle and stuff not working, this may be due to the hair triggers.  If you have the hair triggers enabled (the switches down so your button swing is lower) this may interfere.  I know having the hair triggers set causes issues with shotguns and snipers not firing, so it may be the same for the choppers flying.
