xbox one controller not working for BF4

My controller works fine until I get to the main screen for BF4. Then no buttons work except for the dashboard button and i have reinstalled and i have tried new controllers and they still dont work, and my controller works on another xbox battlefield. any help is appreciated

If I have a controller (not in use) charging to the xbox one.. then for some reason the game reads the controller that I have charging, which is not in use. I have to then get up (I'm lazy) and switch controllers. The original controller that I was using will not be recognized by the game once BF4 starts, therefore I have to switch controllers.

I have had this problem since the game came out. It is very frustrating to me until I figured it out. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game but it still does the same thing. You just have to switch controllers because the game will stop recognizing the current controller in use and force you to use the controller not in use that is charging.
