You just lost a customer

Some buddies told me of BF4 being free for a week to try and thought I'd get a chance to see what the hype is all about considering BF, so I logged into an account I had created SOLELY for looking at...

    I have yet to hear a response in any regards to the message I got in my Email aside from these forums, so I am taking this as a message that my issue clearly is not of great importance. Thank you for your time, but I'm quite sure I give up on this entire matter. I have been lied to, led on, and jerked around with this issue and have yet to receive a logical answer or reason to my issue. You have oficially lost a customer and I plan to spread the word to friends and family on my experince with EA thus far.

Update. I contacted another rep today and demanded to speak to any manager they had on duty and was PROMISED MULTIPLE times that it has been taken care of YET AGAIN, and to redownload the game a third time. After doing so it will work no problem, they guarantee it.

So it would seem that even the managers have no idea what it is that they're doing. I also have yet to get a single Forum mod to respond to this thread.

It's very evident that EA doesn't give a flying **bleep** about it's customers at all. Once they get money they slam the door in your face. If you're wishing to try their services before purchasing, don't bother as they won't help you should a problem arise. This is without a doubt the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life and vow to never purchase another EA title.

At first, I am sorry that you had a bad experience with our customer support and that they were not able to fix your issue so far. 
I can totally understand that you need to blow off some steam, I know that feeling and we all need to do it sometimes, but please keep in mind that even if you have a complaint about an active case, we are still a mature board and do not tolerate any kind of offensive language. 

 

As I said, we all need to blow of steam sometimes and I accept that.

 

Just to get a few more details first. Am I right that neither you nor someone else with this or a different Origin account in your household had ever used the Battlefield 48h game time? I am asking because we had cases that the game-time was used by a different Origin account from a different person but on the same computer. We have security systems in place which are there to prevent players from creating just new Origin ID's to play the trial again. This system is in fact there to stop especially player who are not playing fair and want to ruin the enjoyment of other placers.

 

Please understand that we do not have any access to your account and can't change game entitlements (like the BF4 game time) as we are a public forum. However, I have checked your case and you have indeed the needed entitlements for the game time on your account and it seems that one of our Game Advisor already deleted the entitlements to provide new ones. 

 

I will check your case with a Game Advisor later today, it might take a while but I want to have a deeper look in your case with a Game Advisor to figure out what might block you from playing.

    Do your ISP share the same IP addresses across different customers or is it one IP per customer?

    As IPv4 addresses run out the ISP's are getting creative until IPv6 is fully implemented and my guess is that could have something to do with your issue.

    It's a guess at least.

    You might also try logging out of Origin and deleting it's cache files which is located in:

    • Origin folder in C:\ProgramData\
    • Origin folder in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\
    • Origin folder in C:\Users\ <username> \AppData\Roaming\

    I have been having the same issue as you.  I guess we just have to face facts that EA is unwilling to help the people who are having this issue.  I was really hoping to try this game out before purchasing.  But I guess they really do not want my money or your money.

    I think you might be confusing "unwilling" with "unable". As far as I can see every EA employee so far has tried to help.

    I have never played an Origin game, I have never played BF4, 3, 2, 1, beta, anything. I made an Origin account on a different computer in 2012, on a different isp, and have never touched an Origin game in my life. I have since created another account in the same manner, and both accounts tell me I've enjoyed my Game Time already.

    I have since changed computers, changed ISP's, and tried both accounts and still get the same issue.

    I will apologize for my anger, but surely you could understand my reaction when I've had to go through 4 reps and still be lied to, had to reply several times to my own thread effectively bumping it, and not seeing a single Forum Moderator until now. So might I suggest in the future to hire more Moderators to ease your customers and let them know this is an actual concern, and not something nobody cares about.

    UPDATE: Upon logging In today I was prompted by a message saying I was logged in from somewhere else. I chose to log in anyway and try to launch the game. It still reflected the same amount of hours played (Not that I've actually played) of one hour. Upon launching it however, it now shows a different error message.  It simply says "We're sorry, an error has occured, Too many computres have access this account's version of Battlefield 4 (Origin Game Time) Recently. Please try again later" So I guess SOMETHING is happening. I will try my other account and post back with results

    Upon logging in with my other account, it tells me I have saves that don't match from the cloud. Again I've never played this game before or any origin game, and I didn't get this message a day ago when I tried with this account. I have no games attached to the account but game time, and it shows no time played. This is starting to get rather confusing now. I still get the original message on this account though, saying I've enjoyed my gametime already.

    In response to an email I received from EA Support, i was told to make a new account and to try again. I still get the original message as when I first tried, saying It could not activate Game Time on this computer using the Origin Account I provided. I could understand all this, as a measure to prevent people from making account after account to enjoy free time, except I've never played an origin game, let alone ANY BF game.
