A little voice for battlefield 5, for a better battlefield

Battlefield 5 is one of the best games in the battlefield atmosphere, which can stimulate the players' inner blood instinct. I began to contact the battlefield from battlefield 1, and I like FPS from CS, and I can't go back to other games any more, because this real atmosphere can move me more than competitive games.

The beginning of battlefield 1 tells me the blood of the war and even prompts us to reflect on human nature. Unfortunately, the beginning of the battle is too short, which makes people want more than enough. Otherwise, even if players keep fighting with AI, they will still gain a lot of real fans.

Battlefield 5 and 1 are mainly about multi player online ("yes, let's go to the battlefield together, rush rush rush"). However, it's embarrassing that servers in many areas do not have enough players to start the game in 24 hours, so many players have to cross the area to suffer from high Ping, and even often drop the line. Even for North American servers, in the recent conquest or breakthrough mode of battlefield 5, only 2-3 servers often have more than 20 players. This gives a game experience that single player can't bear. After all, EA is retailed to every player. The main online game can't gather enough players to start. It really hurts a good game like battlefield, but it also hurts all players and EA itself. So can this situation be improved?

Let's take a look at the answer a long time ago: cs1.0 can be customized to join robots from the beginning. Although AI is not good, at least it can let even a player enjoy the fun of online combat (better than not having enough people to start or play?) More specifically, in order to ensure no increase in server pressure, each region can only ensure that there is an official room with a robot in the breakthrough mode (even if there is only one robot). As long as there is a robot in the room at any time, then individual players can squeeze into the server. If the player is full, another room with all robots will be opened, anyway Verify that there is a robot in at least one server. Every time a player enters the server, he or she will automatically kick out an original robot (or it can be understood as replacement). After any player leaves or drops the line for a short fixed time, the server will add a robot to replace him or her until he or she returns to the server or is replaced by other players. (battlefield 5 did a good job of returning players to the server, and the game record before the disconnection was still continued.)

The robot difficulty here can be the most difficult robot (refer to joint operation or scenario mode for difficulty), but the damage of various weapons should be adjusted in line with that of ordinary players. The reason why breakthrough mode is used is that there is no precedent. EA can first use this mode as the test of AI and the reflection of players. Of course, as long as this mode rushes into and occupies (Defense) points, the requirement for AI is really low, and the effect is not too bad. The compilation requirements for AI are not so high for the time being. Of course, this kind of official server can be prefixed with the words (BOT) for example, or it can not enjoy some special tasks (such as brush gun skin, etc.), which can be determined by EA. Players can at least enjoy the atmosphere of the battlefield normally, right?

There are several other areas that have a serious impact on the experience, which are expected to improve in the future:

1 -------- if the aircraft's flares are hit to the highest level, all our units can enjoy them, but the enemy players can't use the naked eye to observe and destroy the flares, even if he has opened six times the sight of the sniper gun. You said that you can't see the ground target clearly because of the poor vision of your aircraft. You can play flares for yourself to enjoy. But what do you mean for all our infantry? What's the difference between this and cheating of all the staff? Because the opponent can't destroy this flares at all. Even if you share it with the tank, I can use it as the radio instant messaging in World War II. But if you share it with the whole infantry, what's the experience of most of them??? In the same situation, in rainy and snowy weather, people can't see clearly, the infantry's flares are all thrown above the clouds, and the players can't see and can't destroy them. (the rogue planes who are still throwing flares here don't discuss it.) if both sides throw flares, then everyone is cheating on the battlefield? Is this what EA wants in bad weather? Or the flares have broken through the weather restrictions. Are they made by aliens? I think battlefield 5 is the World War II, not the future technology era against alien.

2 ----------- there are too many vehicles on the map at the same time. Field 1 is much better than field 5 at this point. Can you imagine the desperation of four or five tanks in front of you at the same time? On the contrary, a small number of vehicles can also facilitate the infantry to concentrate on protecting it. There is also the problem of vehicle occupation, which can only be used by setting a specific level (for example, level 100). After all, aircraft and tanks are important resources in the battlefield, which is easy to affect the outcome of the game. Even a rookie infantryman who is rowing wants to win by himself, rather than an individual vehicle that doesn't even know the way out at home or crashes into a mountain when the aircraft comes out. If you don't have a level 100 infantry experience, don't waste our important strategic resources. Of course, EA can produce individual pure vehicle map similar to battlefield 1, which is full of airplanes or tanks. It's the same thing if anyone plays, but at least it meets the needs of some vehicle maniacs. Of course, the battlefield is ultimately a war. The most important thing in World War II is not vehicles but soldiers!

3 ----------- the death card cannot be redeployed. It is found that the body is covered by other things (such as the player covered your body with a bunker or sandbag). In general, teams with fewer people can be redeployed when they are out of the regiment, but once they break through the two-tier battle line after being stuck. When the regiment is out of the regiment, the signs of skulls waiting for rescue reappear, but they have not read a note. The skulls are always kept and cannot be redeployed.

Let's say so much for the moment. I hope that EA's battlefield 5 team can see my voice. Maybe it's also the voice of many battlefield fans. In the future, let the battlefield go further and the fans are more and more happy!

  • Hoo boy now that's a wall of text.

I think the beginning od BF1 being so short was to signify the churnrate of soldiers; people think war is glamerous but reality shows the majority will bite the dust rather rast.

BFV actuallt utilizes a new server feature that keeps empty rooms out of the list - by searching rooms with full player counts you'll notice we're in a really good spot.

Unfortunately, bots in mp matches (other than Combined Arms) won't become a thing in BFV or other titles in my opinion - it's just not Battlefield's "thing".

    1. I agree airceaft flares should be be to be shot down by infantry and other vehicle players. Soldiers can shoot flares over smoke clouds which can't be seen, but people inside the smoke aren't spotted so I think it's balanced.

    2. I personally don't know how I feel about the amount of vehicles on a map - sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad; one thing I will say is vehicles can easily be abused in this game so it needs to be addressed and supply stations should not be a thing at spawn points.

    3. I'm sorry, I'm not exactly sure what you're saying. It's definitely hard to revive players when they are stuck inside objects, that's why it always pays to have at least once explosive with you. It's an intentional feature to not show the revibe symbol and/or be able to revive people in ceetain situations but I think that's only because they aren't intended on being there in the first place.

  • @TTZ_Dipsy Thank you very much for your reply. I feel that the flares above the clouds in rainy and snowy days can shine on all players below the clouds. No matter whether the players are blocked by the clouds or not, I will observe more to confirm this. Thank you again for your reply and have a good time.
  • G'day @Anticheatman

1st i want to say it's great you've constructed your post and I'd like to give another perspective to view.

    1. Regarding your comments relating to aircraft flares, I made a post after the last update from the perspective of a dedicated pilot in this franchise where I addresses a few issues relating to the substantial power aircraft have been holding since the Pacific update late last year, which unfortunately became even more prevalent in this latest update. You can find that post here:
    https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/Pilots-perspective-to-the-new-update/m-p/8814867#M13224

    2. Regarding the amount of vehicles on the map compared to that of BF1, this I believe was fully intentional. While both these titles are based on lets say 'flexible historical accounts', WWII was primarily fought and won with the use of vehicles, where as WWI was base fought and won more so with trench warfare, horses, etc as tanks, planes and dreadnoughts were all in their infancy stage.

Take BF2 - BF4, these titles were based in more modern times and were vehicle heavy too. While I understand certain maps do have plenty of vehicles such as Al Sundan, Panzerstorm, The Pacific Maps, etc. You do also have Devastation, Aerodrome, Marita, Operation Underground, Rotterdam, etc which aren't vehicle heavy with some not having vehicles at all.

    3. Like @TTZ_Dipsy I'm not 100% grasping what you're getting at here but if you're talking about people getting killed and their bodies get glitched inside a wall, where they can't be revived. This is just a glitch and not one that happens that often when compared to the 1,000s of deaths happening per hour.

Every player has a voice here on AHQ but many voices will want different things and so this will forever be the dilemma of the devs. They will never please everyone and unfortunately any change made will make 1 person happy and another enraged. Last thing I will say is we have another 2 years before the next BF title, so sit back and enjoy the ride, there's still plenty more to come and we're not even half way there 🙂
