I find it interesting that this 'sales' story has remained untouched by: Eurogamer, GamesIndustry.biz, GameInformer, GamesRadar, GameSpot, IGN, Polygon and even Kotaku, Possibly because the 'data' in current circumstances is a bit flaky. The article quoted poses failure as a question, because they don't know. It's speculative.

It's my understanding that while this analyst may have been accurate in the past, working against them is the significant growth in digital sales and EA Premiere sales, data they don't have, and are left only to guesswork based upon the declining GameStop numbers.
In short, Battlefield V may be in 3rd place but we don't really know for sure or by how much, so looking to build an argument on top of that seems a bit of a stretch.
I can't judge how valid or otherwise the clan concerns are, are these a niche concerns?
