A question about planes
I played BF V some time already, and there is one thing i would like to know. I like to fly as bomber, and i think, that if there is a plane with cannon on my tail(Mosquito with 6pdr or JU-88C), there is literally nothing i can do. Left, right, down, no matter the direction, they always shoot me down. Bombers - unless someone with fliegerfaust or friendly fighter helps them - seem to be completely helpless in such case.
To be honest, i consider it as game breaking, that you can do such a thing, but it is too late to speak about that, because new battlefield will be ready soon.
I'm pretty sure, that you can kill a pilot from the rear/frontal machine gun. Once i heard headshot sound, when i was firing at enemy plane, but never managed to do so. its a silly question, i know, but where to aim exacly to kill enemy pilot? Frontal glass seem to be bulletproof. Does enemy planes need to suffer critical hit first, canopy damage or something?I don't know the exact english name of it, i have different language version.
Does anyone know the answer? Or i'm completely wrong and its impossible.
Hi @DesertDust91 Sorry to say that if a fighter-bomber with a cannon is on your tail then there is very little you can do about it (you can try using your rear guns but that might only work as a deterrent, if at all). Taking them down should really be the job of friendly fighters and AA.
There might be some tips people here can give you though. Since I only fly fighters I just don't have much experience with bombers, and may simply not know the right tactics.
As for your other question - it is possible to headshot kill a pilot but only certain guns will do it. For example the JU-88C with the upgrade for the 4x MG 151/20mm secondary guns will do it when aiming at the cockpit.
