AA buff is an overkill
I have been flying lately, trying to unlock the new planes (I have maxed out all the rest). And I have noticed that stationary AA is disgustingly strong now. They punch you down from the sky in no t...
Great for you- I have it at least on three maps every night. So good for you that it never happens- I literally had it three separate times on servers last night- and the result was one team dropped from 32 players to 20, to 13 by the end of the 3rd game. The maps are the typical problem maps- Al Sundan (really bad), Twisted Steel, and Hamada (which because of its size isn't that bad. Didn't get a sequence in Arras and Fjell which are also not good. I would experience this 3 nights out of 5 on Oceania servers. This includes some of the worlds top BF V pilots by the way.
However it is apparent that you haven't read my other posts- you have just responded- otherwise you would've seen that my reasoning starts at that point but moves forward. Yes it does depend on the co-ordination of the opposition- and yes that may not be a problem for most regions. The point is when it does happen- you don't have a hope, as aircraft are overpowered. The problem is that Dice's solutions didn't create a rock paper scissors like they have in BF 4 or Bad Company, but created a nerf for all aspects. The rock paper scissors they tried is - aa> fighter aircraft> bomber> to aa. However initally the bombers were simply op'd both in durability and range effect- they could drop bombs accurately from height. Tou counter they buff'd fighter aircraft- which meant people stopped flying bombers, and fighters became pointless, so they improved ground attack of fighters, which meant they became op'd, so they buffed AA, which then nerfed both bombers and fighters. So- now its an all or nothing affair. Either you fly and co-ordinate with ground forces, or you don't really bother flying. And if you do co-ordinate your air, you dominate so much that the enemy can't actually respond. And that means people drop out.
...oh and as you are qualifying your experience I have clocked over 1100 hours on BF V and over 9000 hours across multiple BF games going back to Bad Company for online when it was released on Xbox. 4000 on BF 4 specifically.
Yeah now the only solution is to fly with a double-rocket loadout and systematically hunt AA so that you can do anything else in the air.
Yep or get ground crew- to sniper or tank camp aa positions.
