Aim assist on sniper rifles with scopes is terrible and ruins sniping

Summarize your bug The aim assist on sniper rifles with scopes is extremely distracting. It is so strong that fast crosshair movement near (especially multiple!) enemies results in unpredictable behavior. On other guns aim assist is definitly useful but on sniper rifles when you go for headshots and have to aim very precisely it is definitly not useful if crosshair movement speed changes. In BF1 in comparison there was no aim assist on sniper rifles with scopes or it was so weak that it wasn´t noticable. Why this has been changed? Did anyone complain about missing (or weak) aim assist on sniper rifles in BF1? This obviously concerns console players only.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Use a sniper rifle and try to aim fastly by moving the crosshair fast over enemies that stand closely to each other.
What happens when the bug occurs? At least for experienced snipers it will be very distracting that the speed of the crosshair movement changes when you are near an enemy.
What should be happening instead? It should be like in BF1: The crosshair movement should be smooth and uniform. It would help a lot if there was an option to disable aim assist especially on sniper rifles with scopes so that it would feel like in BF1.

If you also noticed this problem, or if you didn´t but understand what I mean, please click the "Me too"-Button so this problem gets some attention. It doesn´t sound like it would be a big deal, but it´s actually terrible when you compare it to BF1 and how much better sniper rifles were controllable. Sniping is less fun now and this a problem i can´t overlook.

  • I had this same issue and I turned off Aim Assist Slowdown. Seemed to help me. It's under Game play>Advanced its the 6th or 7th option down.
