you can remove this by use smoke on your self

    Nope. There is nothing you can do to make the bug go away.

      Yes this is mostly still the case. 1 improvement made is above mini map you see spotted by flare. 

      You can shoot the flare and will be unspotted. 

      Sometimes I noticed a sniper with scope was spotting, but a lot of times in buildings I get the message you have been spotted after spawning.
