It's ofc. a shame if BFV doesn't run on Linux but you were told that Linux is not supported, the system requirements specifically mention Windows, I don't see a lack of respect. That being said, I do hope proton and BFV can become friends.
Now, I have never done this, but I know a few people that have.
Try using Virtual Machine.
If you don't know what a Virtual Machine is, here's the official definition:
In computing, a virtual machine is the virtualization/emulation of a computer system. Virtual machines are based on computer architectures and provide functionality of a physical computer.- Pretty much what that means is that you can run a different kind of OS on your already existing OS. Like for an example, running Windows OS on Linux.

Of course, do your research before setting this up and playing Battlefield, because it might cause some issues. This is my suggestion for the current predicament that you're in.
