My Battlefield 5 account has Battlefield Platoons hidden or removed. I am also unable to see anyone playing BFV's clan designation. There might even be other parts of the game hidden that I'm not aware of. Why has my account been limited?
Yes. That is a correct. In addition, I no longer have the ability to create/modify Battlefield Platoons. That link is no longer there in the game.

DICE Team@Connect4Rob I think it'd be worth checking that the gameplay settings are set to show user created content. I just turned it off in my game and the platoons menu disappeared, but it came back when I renabled it.
