On which server did this happen? N/A
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 23/11/2018
Summarize your bug Game will not launch
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? https://youtu.be/CaEnkxSrbRQ
What happens when the bug occurs? Once hitting play in the origin menu, the game will launch in a minimized window for about 2 or 3 seconds (with the window black) and then will crash.
What should be happening instead? Should load game once hitting play.

I have tried the below to fix the issue:

- Running both origin and bf5 in admin mode

- Repairing the game in Origin

- Updating graphics card drivers (version 416.94)

- making sure all windows 10 updates are installed

- Uninstalling bf5 and origin and deleting all microsoft visual C++ files using CCleaner

- Reinstalling bf5 and origin (also clicking yes on beta dl for origin)

Still nothing. Not sure what to do from here.

The problem was that my monitor wasn't connected (via HDMI) directly to my graphics card, it immediately worked once connected.

I also turned off firewall temporarily to check if it worked and still no avail (this includes trying on public and private for the game settings)

Try power cycling your router and/or modem, and if that does not work attempt to download it on a different PC.

    Hey Man!

Having a simular issue, not exact tho.

    - Tried diffrent local account on the pc

    - Deleted origin / bfv

    - Downgraded my Nvidia driver (gave that a shot)

    - Ccleaner for regclean ++

    - Updated the nvidia driver

    - Updated windows

    - sfc scannow

Tho i get into the game and can choose game mode..

Fast forward to the end of the video, just took it all for the devs to see my settings🙂

Been playing for 60+ hours before this suddenly starts happening ☹️

Gotta have something todo with the latest BFV patch??

  • Hey @HuwGeoff

Your PC might be trying to run the game with your onboard Intel chip. Try downloading the GeForce Experience and roll back the latest driver update, then re-download it. You'll want to make sure Origin and Battlefield are added to the exception list for your anti-virus. With the GeForce Experience you should be able to add Battlefield V as a game the video card should be utilized for too.

There are some potential fixes in these threads as well.

Keep us updated on whether they worked. Good luck!

  • How exactly did you do that. I was confused as to what converter I should choose.
