Battlefield 5 Crashing to Desktop EVERY DAY, still unplayable after 6+ months

I purchased BF 5 during the sale right after launch.
That means I've owned and played it for over 6+ months now.

I purchased a new system to handle the new DXR functions and for a, what I thought would be, flawless experience.

However, since the launch of this game, I haven't had more than a handful of days where I actually get to play like it's intended.
Flawless, beautiful and consistent.

Here's my rig, non OC'd for the time being;
-Z390 Aorus Master
-9900K
-2080 Gaming X Trio
-32GB G.Skill Trident Z 3200 CL16
-Kraken X72 AIO

As you can see, it's a fairly strong system and should be capable of handling whatever I throw at it in terms of gaming.
What leads me to make a post about it here, is simply, that it doesn't.
I keep experiencing micro-stutters on 1080p 60Hz (I know 1080p on a 2080, but it's not the point so don't bring it up please) and the game crashes to desktop every single day.

There was a short time of about 2 weeks where I didn't crash at all, then the game and NVIDIA drivers were updated and since the issue has been consistent.
It's really frustrating that after 6+ months, the game is still unplayable to me on a high end system.

I've searched everywhere for a solution, but to my avail, none.
Therefore I'm asking politely for any information that could bring this to an end.
I don't want to crash or get tabbed out mid combat, it really smashes the immersion to bits in one big stroke.
(tabbing might be due to iCUE, I'm not sure but it seems there's an conflict with these programs when ran simultaneously which I must to make use of my 7.1 surround sound in the headset)

I've read, and experienced, issues with DX12 in this and other games.
Disabling it in BF 5 is however, not an option, as it leaves me without the ability to make use of DXR, which is not what I paid for.

Does DICE/EA have any news or information on how to solve this?
If not, what can be done find a solution to this?

If there's no response from DICE/EA, what can we consumers do to atleast get something in return for buying a faulty, unfinished product that's not being maintained to perform as promised?
I feel like I've purchased half a meal and the first few bites so  far have been really terrible in taste and consistency.
I'm waiting and hoping for the second half to  save the day, but how long must I wait?

Like I said, any help towards a consistent solution to this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance, have a nice day.

  • @TheDaggz When I first built my new rig same issue/ crashing  as you but I did get it fixed so have faith and if you want I will try to help you fix it.

I did a manual OC on my ram 4266MHz but I also ran my ram tho a 12 hr stress test to be sure she is stable, I used this/ KARHU ram test to test my ram as memtest 86 is not good for this new gen gear as I was told by Asus staff. And after much homework on it she or he was correct. Yes I did pay just under $20. for this program but its a very good program for ram testing for me worth ever cent.

My ram is in the QVL but xmp 1 and XMP 2 was a fail and I had to do a manual OC on the ram to get the speeds I paid for as well I had to find the correct bios version to use it was a four week war for me lol. BFV is stable for me now but I also do not use DXR as its not fixed fully yet in BFV give it time they will get it stable so just stay away from it for now and use it once they get it fixed .

If you just hit XMP in bios I still strongly suggest you run your ram tho a stress test using one of the two programs I posted as XMP is still a OC and is not always good to go as I found out with my Gskill ram trying it on XMP 1 and XMP2 and like I said its in the QVL for MB.

Edit 2... iCUE is not making issues on my rig and I run 16 Corsair ML fans and 12 light strips ...she is a unicorn spitting rainbows lol. I use DX12 with zero issues but like I said do not use DXR. They will get  DXR stable in BFV and it will be good to go with time. I do know G force experience does make issues in BFV so if you use it please remove it to test.  And if this started again with a new NVIDIA driver then go back to a old driver and see if it will fix it.

Karhu ram test Once it passes 10000% with no errors your XMP or manual OC on ram is stable

You can also use memtest 64 its free I just did not like it but you may..

    https://www.techpowerup.com/memtest64/

Please do this for settings below and if you still crash after running a 12 hrs ram test and doing settings below then you need to look at programs on your PC by doing a clean boot..

    Disable Origin in game:
In Origin - Application settings - Origin in Game - disable Origin in game

Origin Cloud Storage turn it off
    Origin, settings, General

Open Nvidia Control panel under 3D settings go to Adjust image settings with preview

Pick use my preference and set it to performance and hit apply.

Next step in game video settings advanced in BFV .....

    DXR enabled OFF

    Nvidia DLSS OFF

    High Dynamic Range OFF

Make sure frame rate limiter is set to 200

    future frame rendering- off

    vertical sync- off

    UI Upscasling AUTO

    GPU memory restriction- off

Below set graphics quality to custom

Everything on med or low gut stuff below...

    Mesh Quality is on Ultra

Antialiasing post processing is on TAA LOW

    Ambient Occlusion is OFF

    FX amount is on LOW

    Under video Basic ....
ADS Fild of View - OFF

    ADS DOF Effects OFF

    Chromatic Aberration OFF

To see fps in game with no typing do this....

To see FPS in game with out fraps etc:
    1- open note pad
2-put this in the note pad.....

    perfoverlay.drawfps 1

Perfoverlay.fpsdisplayscale 4 <<< this can change to 3 or 2 or 1 depending how big or small you want it. 4 is large.
3-when you make the user.cfg in notepad, change the file type from text to all. And name it user.cfg
    4-Put in .....:\Program Files\Origin Games\Battlefield 5
    5-Also close Origin to put cfg in just to be safe :}
6-You will see your FPS in top right of screen when you start BF5

If you still have issues look at ..

It could also be Armoury Crate..EDIT Only Asus MB  making issues or GForce experience if you have them installed. Both made crashing on a buddy's PC I fixed with i9-9900K, I had to format him and kept his PC clean mega work I have a write up on it if you want the link.
