I will provide you with a few additional steps, it's hard to say what exactly is wrong. You should go through the steps in order.
1. Run as Administrator
- Sometimes, games need elevated permissions to launch correctly. Right-click on EA App or Steam and select "Run as administrator".
- You can also do the same for Battlefield V by navigating to the installation folder and running BattlefieldV.exe as administrator.
2. Check for System Requirements
- Ensure that your PC meets the minimum or recommended system requirements for Battlefield V. If not, the game may fail to launch.
3. Update Graphics Drivers
- Outdated graphics drivers can sometimes prevent games from launching. Check if your NVIDIA or AMD drivers are up-to-date.
- For NVIDIA: GeForce Experience
- For AMD: AMD Drivers
4. Repair or Reinstall the EA App and Battlefield V
- If the issue persists, consider repairing the EA App and Battlefield V. In the EA App:
- Go to My Collection > Battlefield V > Settings (gear icon) > Repair.
- Alternatively, you can uninstall and reinstall both the EA App and Battlefield V if repair doesn't help.
5. Disable Background Programs
- Close any background applications, especially third-party overlays or programs that can interfere with launching games (like Discord, MSI Afterburner, Razer Synapse, etc.).
6. Clear EA App Cache
- Clearing the cache may help fix launch issues with the EA App:
- Press Windows + R, type %ProgramData%/EA and hit Enter.
- Delete the EA folder inside that directory.
- Restart the EA App and try launching again.
7. Check Firewall/Antivirus
- Make sure that your firewall or antivirus software is not blocking the EA App or Battlefield V from launching.
- You can temporarily disable your antivirus/firewall or add an exception for the EA App and Battlefield V to see if this resolves the issue.
8. Check Windows Event Viewer
- Sometimes, Windows Event Viewer will log an error that can help diagnose what's going wrong.
- Press Windows + X and select Event Viewer.
- Go to Windows Logs > Application and look for any error or warning messages related to the EA App or Battlefield V.
- If you find anything, search for specific solutions for those errors.
9. Try Launching from the EA app
- Sometimes launching the game through the EA app instead of Steam can bypass the issue.
10. Check for Pending Windows Updates
- Ensure that your Windows operating system is fully updated. Sometimes, missing updates can cause compatibility issues.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and click Check for updates.
11. Disable Overlays (Steam/EA App/Discord)
- Some overlay programs, like those in Steam, EA App, or Discord, can cause issues when launching games.
- Try disabling overlays temporarily to see if that resolves the issue.
12. Try a Clean Boot
- A clean boot can help you determine if there are any background processes causing interference.
- Press Windows + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
- Under the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services and then click Disable All.
- Go to the Startup tab, and click Open Task Manager. Disable all startup items.
- Restart your PC and try launching the game again.
I hope something works.

- 7 months ago@KapitonasVudis did you fix it?
No, nothing worked
- 7 months ago@KapitonasVudis I'm getting desperate, apparently a clean windows install should fix it but it's not an option for me now so Let's try to troubleshoot this between us if you don't mind.
Do you have any of the following installed?
- Vortex mod manager
- DS4windows
- DSmini
- Notion
- Ubisoft connect
- GOG galaxy
- HidHide Configuration Client
- Teamviewer
- Git
- Nodejs
- Putty
- Draw.io
- Epic games launcher
- Nefarius BthPS3
These are mainly all the programs I have installed, I also have miniconda and npm packages installed if that might help. I know it's a long list but if you find any of these programs installed on your computer we can try to delete them and see if it will fix it.
