Battlefield 5 monitor turns off after exiting game.
After exiting bf 5, the screen turns off and says nothing is connected to hdmi 1. The computer stays on, but the hdmi port is out. I either have to turn off the screen and turn it back on, I am using a Vizio me 4 k tv through hdmi with a nvidia RTX 2080 ti. Usually, it just goes black and I have to power the computer off to get it to come back up. Sometimes, it happens out of game when changing resolutions in windows without having battlefield open at all. I saw this being a common error in battlefield 1 with Asus monitors. My monitor is not Asus but my graphics card is.
Yes. I reinstalled windows after reinstalling drivers. That was part of the problem, I switched graphics cards and it didn’t get properly removed. I ended up getting a display cable, the RTX 2080 ti supports it, and it fixed the issue. I’m assuming the monster cable I bought, said it allowed for a high refresh rate than what I had on. It fixed the issue not using the cable anymore. It was labeled 4khigh speed, but no refresh rate. I’m assuming that a HDMI 2"0 cable will allow more flexibility. My display cable is limited to 1080p and 4K at 60hz, but I’m trying to get 2550 x 1400. Do you know a good display cable maker to hdmi that will make a cable for more than just two resolutions. What is a good HDMI cable brand?
