Which part of the game is the issue happening in? Game Menu
In which game menu were you when the bug occurred? All options
Please select your region Europe
On which server did this happen? EU
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm)
Summarize your bug I haven't been in battlefield for a while and i decided today that i wanted to join a match, where unfortunately did not go according to plan. The first thing is the game stutters big time. When the menu first loads it shows a high contrast screen and the fps counter is 0. After a half a minute it shows the next frame. For some weird reason when i minimize and go back to the game it semi-fixes the stutter which occurs every 3 seconds on average. When i join a game, same thing happens. The game stutters badly. I get about 7 fps then it goes 18 fps, with some 130 for a sec then back to low. The game used to fly on my computer. Specs: ryzen 7 2700 4.1ghz gtx 1080 strix A8G 16gb ram brand new NVME(every other game works perfectly fine) 1.Tried to revert to the previous GEFORCE update. 2.Tried the game without the new re-size bar feature 3.Tried to set affinity for removing the AMDs SMT.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not quite sure if this occurs on the newer systems. The game works on my buddy's computer which is an older i7 3rd gen computer.
What happens when the bug occurs? Bad stutter. Very Bad stutter.
What should be happening instead? To be working ofcourse.

Please fix the issue.

  • @EA_Kent found the issue. Had to fresh install latest geforce drivers.
I went through the hassle of checking xmp, directx update, clearing game cache files, and re installing the game, moving the game to different drive, re-rolling back to older geforce drivers before the fix.

    Hey @CozyOx45

Those are some pretty wild fluctuations. Have you been keeping an eye on your temperatures and power usage while Battlefield V is running? You aren't seeing anything out of the ordinary there?
