Yes I have made sure that the ea app was not running in task manager before attempting to launch the game through steam and it will not launch. Whats puzzling to me is that I also have 2042 and battlefront 2 purchased through steam and I can launch them both either through steam or the ea app. Battlefield v however does not give me the option to launch it through the ea app. I am going to try to resolve the issue with the steps provided through this link tomorrow and I will give an update. https://appuals.com/battlefield-5-wont-launch/
The guide from https://appuals.com/battlefield-5-wont-launch/ did not fix the issue. I guess we are playing a waiting game with EA.
