Battlefield 5 Won't Launch

Hi @bbacle777. 

When you've got a chance can you try starting up your PC in a Clean Boot to see if that helps at all? If there's something else running on the PC that might be preventing it from starting up that may help.

same issue, the solution did not work for me

What type of security software do you use on your PC? Have you checked to make sure there are exceptions for Origin and BFV? In some cases issues like this can happen because something is blocking the game from starting up, and that can often point to security programs.

me too i need help

Same here, I am playing via steam and when I try to launch it it launches origin then bfv then it just automatically closes. Debug log on the steam folder says WARNING:resource_bundle_qt.cpp(114)] locale_file_path.empty() for locale. Can anyone help me with this.

I tried it, didnt work. I bought the game a few days ago and booted it up yesterday. The problem i had yesterday, was that i couldnt go online, so i messed around a bit to try and fix it but now i cant even launch the game. Even if i might be able to launch the game, i probably wont be able to play online:/

Ive had the same issue and finally found an answer so im actually scrolling though the help pages to try pass on a resolution. Please note there could be different issues for users but this seemed to be the only solution that worked for me.

Do as follows and hopefully that will sort the issue:

1) You have to look for the file "PROFSAVE_profile" in the folder that the game creates in the user's documents in Windows.

2) Open it with a text editor (notepad works).

3) Change the value "1" to "0" and then Directx12 is deactivated and the game starts.
