I would also recommend that you are running the game on your dedicated GPU and not the integrated one.

To change from your integrated card to your Nvidia card:

• Open "Nvidia Control Panel".
• Select "Manage 3D Settings" under 3D Settings.
• Click on "Program Settings" tab and then select the program you want to run.
• Select "Preferred graphics processor" in drop-down menu and then select use the dedicated graphics card, select High-performance Nvidia processor.

Hey, so before you suggested the solution, I tried uninstalling the game and launched the game halfway through installation which only gives an option for campaign. Once the installation was done, Multiplayer seemed to work fine. I tried exiting the game and its working perfectly now. If the same thing happens in the future, I will try doing the mentioned solutions above.
