Hi @pearly1964 Nope. Provided you're using the same Xbox live account you'd just need to install the game on the S/X.
At least that's how it worked for me when I upgraded recently.

There really isn’t a difference, you’ll just play on the Xbox one graphics
Nope, the game would stay the same just down load it to your new console, I had the same question
