battlefield v, an abandoned game

As I attempted to play Battlefield V tonight every United States server had several cheaters in them.  The past two days I have reported 20+ people cheating with no change.  I know I am not the only one reporting these people.  Battlefield V is not populated enough on PC to not be able to have one person spend time reviewing these cheating reports.  Please EA do not post the automated "To report a cheater, do these steps."  If EA is not going to have a hard stance on cheating I formally request to remove the pinned post by EA_Kent with the title of "Our anti-cheat approach in Battlefield V."  If you are not going to support the people that still play this game I also formally request you put a disclaimer that the game is no longer supported by EA/Dice before people spend their money on it.

The generic responses from the forum moderators are honestly just insulting.  I get it that your job is to maintain control of the forums and keep them positive but at some point you need to be realistic.  You should appreciate people love a 5 year old game enough to spend their time with serious concerns regarding the state of the game.

The following should be addressed or EA should stop selling the game.

  1. Investigate and patch the redeploy exploit
  2. Speed hacking needs to be addressed, I am not a programmer you should be able to code if player = X and X is moving at a certain speed around the map on foot then X gets flagged and investigated
  3. V1/JB2 type exploit allowing player to explode himself or an area of the map at will
  4. If LAD/Finger gun is used then the player account should be automatically banned, these weapons are not accessible unless you have a program hooked into the bfv.exe
  5. Utilize stats to flag and investigate potential cheaters
  6. Actually make the report function work in a timely manner
  7. Do not allow people cheating or exploiting the game to recreate an account through EA Play

In closing, below is what you say you are doing to ensure we have a fair gaming experience.  I can promise you that 1-5 on your prevention list is outdated.  Like I said, if you are not going to make an active attempt to make the playing experience better I request you remove your pinned post about your anti-cheat approach and also have a disclaimer for new customers that your game is not supported anymore.

Please note: in this article, we are intentionally leaving out some of the key details of our anti-cheat efforts to avoid revealing anything which cheaters and cheat program developers may take advantage of.

What are the top five things DICE is doing to prevent cheating in Battlefield V?

1) Working on better prevention, hardening the PC client against exploits.
2) Scaling up detection efforts.
3) Investigating supplementary deterrence methods which can work alongside banning accounts.
4) Investigating methods of improving the reporting flow, including easier reporting.
5) Keeping up to date with the latest cheat developments and reacting to them in a faster and leaner manner.

Feel free to DM me if you want to discuss this further.  This is by no means to degrade nor bad mouth the reputation of EA or DICE.  It is simply someone trying to have a discussion about the state of the game with EA/DICE.

Thank you
