The same thing happens to me weeks ago. It does not happen to me with other games, not even with the NFS Payback. It's been a while since BFV is giving my PC a lot of serious problems. I will not play again until they are resolved, I will not compromise the integrity of my PC.
I own an i7 6700k without OC and the temperature goes up to 70 ° C only with this game, apparently it consumes more cpu than gpu. I have used stress tests like the Prime95 and the temperature does not rise to 50 ° C. The Unigine Superposition and the 3D Mark (all tests) does not generate a bottleneck or crashes, in fact it works very well and at normal temperatures. I have changed thermal paste, tested the ventilation systems to rule out all kinds of refrigeration problems.
And as for the GPU, I own a Strix 1080 A8G 11Gbps and it's cooler than a lettuce.
Now taking into account that most of us have nVIDIA, the only thing left for me to remove the doubt is to go back to old drivers to see if the problem is due to the updates of nVIDIA RTX, but I doubt very much, since the one that causes me the most concern It is the high temperature of the CPU.
