Thanks for letting me know.
I would recommend going to Documents ---> Battlefield V ---> Settings ---> And re-naming the "PROFSAVE_tmp" file to just "PROFSAVE".
Let us know if this works for you.
Thanks 🙂
I had the same Issue..
Played some rounds, made changes to graphics, gameplay etc. and after a break or relaunching BFV i had to do all the changes again...
Came down to Microsoft Defender that I'm using.
You have to add BFV.exe to the list of allowed apps that can make change to protected folders.
No ı tried that for 2 times and nothing changed...
No that isnt working tho
- Same here, i even tried to run as administrator but same problem.
- Anonymous7 years agoMy bf5 folder does not contain a 'settings' folder, I also tried searching for this PROFSAVE and it doesn't exist for me.
I found a solution actually. You must create administrator sign in and after sign out from your original one. Then you must change your user name (It must be applied to English nick name) for example Markinhome321. You can find this way on google. Just write BATTLEFIELD V DOESNT SAVE ItSelf (it's on first page of searching) You'll see a video in it and it worked for me. Good game guys :D
I have the same issue, however, I managed to rename "PROFSAVE_TEMP" to "PROFSAVE" and the settings were saved.
HOWEVER, everytime I receive a new item, and/or make changes to settings, I again need to rename the "PROFSAVE_TEMP".
Otherwise I need to go over all new items received since last I changed the name of "PROFSAVE_TEMP" each time I start the game.
My computer username is "André", I wonder if the "é" character is what makes this happen.
I tried running Process Manager to see what BFV does, and it tries saving "PROFSAVE" to C:\Users\André\Documents\BattlefieldV\Settings\, but it says "path name not found".
I wonder then why it would be able to save "PROFSAVE_TEMP" without issues..
