Battlefield VD eluxe edition or deluxe edition upgrade

Hello everyone,

I preorderd Battlefield V Deluxe edition from the BF1 menus for 10%off. I check my order history and all the information is correct. But when I check my Xbox it shows different files. It tells me I have the standard edition but the deluxe edition upgrade. Is this the same thing, because when I check on the store it says I don't have the deluxe edition, but I have the upgrade. I'm confused.

Many thanks

  • The way the Deluxe Edition purchase appears in Manage Game is going to be the base Battlefield V game with the Deluxe Edition Upgrade (10MB DRM key file). This is completely normal. There is no separate "deluxe" version of the game. If you look in the store, it shows you that the purchase of the Deluxe Edition bundle includes the base game and the deluxe edition upgrade file. This applies to just about any bundle that a game has where there is a pre-order bonus or upgraded version.

It's my estimation that it is appearing in the store as not purchased because you didn't directly purchase it through the store and used the BF1 game to get that discount. It is similar to if you had purchased a digital code for the game from a 3rd party vender and redeemed that code instead of making a direct purchase from the Xbox store. You technically bypassed the Xbox Store and purchased through the BF1 game which is considered separate.

There is nothing to worry about this. I am seeing the exact same thing you describe as I also purchased the Deluxe Edition through the BF1 menu.

As you stated in the OP, you can confirm that your order was placed by viewing your order history when logged into your Microsoft account here: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

You should have also received a confirmation email of your order from Microsoft to your registered email address.

You should have no problems with the game when the release occurs on the November 14th 11 PM EST. It should come out of the pre-ordered state after downloading a DRM file to update the game as available to play. Good luck.

    See you on the Battlefield.

@Cremtothemem I assume it would be the same but if you want to be 100% sure then the best thing to do is speak with Xbox support as we do not have access to your account or billing on the Xbox.

They will be able to load up your account and tell you exactly what it is you have.

You can contact Xbox support here: https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/contact-us/

Let me know how it goes.

@Cremtothemem In that case then I would imagine that the standard edition with deluxe edition upgrade is what you should be seeing, generally when you purchase a deluxe edition in store you get the standard edition on disc and a code to redeem for the deluxe edition content.

As you purchased your game on the Xbox we have no way of seeing your order or your Xbox account so it's hard to give an exact answer as to what you have on your account.

Best thing to do is wait till release and if there are any issues with the content to speak with MS support.

Ah i see that makes more sense, maybe that's why it shows it as an add on. Thank you so much

Wow thank you for your detailed explanation. That is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for informing me how purchasing the deluxe edition works. Yes I did get the 10mb file and also the confirmation email.

Thank you for your help. See you on the battlefield
