BF V | Sudden FPS drops
Hello All 🙂
I bought BF V a few weeks ago and since then I have problems with sudden FPS drops in BF V.
Normally I have around 70-90 FPS with 1440p and then after minutes or a few games, it drops to around 20 and stays there. This appears withing singleplayer and multiplayer. A sympthom is that the GPU utilisation drops really low from the high 90s and bounces up and down.
My PC:
- Most up to date W10 and Nvidia drivers
- Intel i7 6700
- Geforce GTX 980
- 16 GB DDR4 RAM
- M.2 Samsung NvME SSD
- 1080p 120 Hz Monitor
- 1440p 165 Hz Monitor with G-Sync
What I tried:
- reinstallation of W10 to a freshly bought SSD
- reinstallation of BF V, Origin drivers etc.
- I contacted EA support and went through all troubleshooting steps suggested by EA, at the end they were not able to track that problem down.
- performed benchmarks and stresstests over serveral hours -> perfectly stable
- Done research on the internet and tried many steps suggested
- Checked other games, here I don't have any problems at all
@PureSilverHaze Hello and welcome to Answers HQ forums!
Did you try to reset your settings by deleting Settings folder from your MyDocuments>>Battlefield V folder? Also, make sure DirectX12 is disabled in your settings as this feature does not work properly yet.
