I too am having this issue. I think what happened was I hit support rank 20, presumably unlocking the MG42. However, at that stage, I backed out of the match rather than going to completion. Initially, when I went to my armory and saw it still locked, I figured that perhaps the server hadn't reported my score yet, so it would unlock later.
However, here roughly 21 hours later, it still hasn't unlocked. I can't progress farther than rank 20, so it seems like it's never going to unlock. It always just shows me the "This will unlock next round" message.
(Edit: I see the patch notes say the 14th. I didn't realize it was after midnight, so I was whining that the patch didn't fix my issue, but it's still about 10 hours away lol. Will see what happens then!)
Can confirm. The issue is based on exiting the game during the round you received your level up. Did that twice, bug was there both time

im getting the same no unlocks it seemed to start 3days ago as my first 5 lvls unlocked then it just stopped for some reason, went to chat to help team and there lame * response was wait till the game launches, i proceeded to explain we paid premium for early access and this is not an acceptable response but got no where

I've had it happen with me staying untul the round closes.

I hope they fix this problem soon it's getting annoying loosing gun fights because I'm stuck with the first weapons

Here is a copy of my recent chat with EA Tech Support.. according to this tech support agent, EA Tech Support claims the following:
1) This bug is a recent bug
2) The one from November was fixed
3) Specialist team is working on it
4) There is no way to manually unlock the weapons
5) There is no way to reset the character/account

As unforunately there was notice of a patch for this going back into November... so I'm afraid that patch may never come.
