I have not tried this personally but it's a known workaround for Frostbite Nvidia driver checks.
- Go to: C:\windows\system32\
- Find nvapi64.dll and rename it to something like backupnvapi64.dll.
That should disable the check as far as I'm aware but it's a bit of a workaround.
I would rather focus on why the new drivers are not working for you.
I would try a complete uninstall of Nvidia drivers and software, then use DDU in safe mode to clean the rest, lastly download and install the latest drivers and try again.
