Cannot use ps5 controller on battlefield 5 (pc)

earlier this year i played battlefield 5 with a ps5 controller using ds4windows. just this week i tried playing again but when i started up the game i was met with an error code:

"cannot use software at the sametime: virtual controller (104)".

i tried using my controller without ds4windows but i think my input is not being recocnized as nothing happens when i press any buttons. i have done some research and saw that other people started having this problem about a month ago on bfv and eafc 24 aswell. on their questions there was a solution for ps4 controller but nothing for ps5 controllers.

does anybody know if there is a fix for this?
