Can't play Battlefield 5

Hey guys!

I bought Battlefield 5 back in 2019 in a Fanatical bundle and I didn't play the game at all because my computer wasn't that good and I didn't have enough space to even put it in there in the first place. Now that I have bought myself a good computer, I was excited to play the game, but when I opened up Origin, it looks like I can't download the game at all! I was pretty disappointed and I thought I might ask you guys what's up with it. I wasn't sure whether I should contact Fanatical about this problem, but I thought I might ask the guys at EA first!

I've attached screenshots for better clarity.

Thank you for your help!

    Hey @nerosonic,

    Thanks for your visit to the forums & sorry to hear that you're having issues with downloading Battlefield V.

    Unfortunately I don't exactly understand the issue that you're having. Are you unable to download the game via Origin, or do you have issues with the key that the retailer where you purchased the game gave you? Did you redeem the key in Origin?

    I got the code back in 2019 and it was put into my Origin account. When I want to play the game on Origin, there was no Download button for me to download the game. And when I go to the actual Origin store, it reads "Purchase Battlefield 5 which doesn't make sense because I've already activated the game years ago, but I couldn't play because of my computer limitations.

    @nerosonic, ah right, thanks for the further explanation of the issue.

    That's a strange one indeed!

    A few things you can check are;
    - Are you sure that you're logged in with the correct EA account where you own the game on>
    - Have you tried to clear the Origin cache? https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
    - You can try to reinstall Origin: https://help.ea.com/en/help/origin/origin/my-game-downloaded-through-origin-but-will-not-install/

    Hopefully this works for you.

    I followed the instructions on this page to clear the Origin cache and it seemed to have worked! I see the Download button now!

    Thank you for your help!
