Can't play BFV with Ray Tracing (DXR & DX12) in Fullscreen or Borderless.

I'm having trouble playing BFV with Ray Tracing. Apparently it is required to have DirectX 12 on to turn on DXR. But whenever I turn on DX12 and I'm on Fullscreen or Borderless, my game freezes (after game restart, which is required for settings to take affect.) and I'd rather not play on windowed. My drivers, windows version (1809), and game version are up to date.

Does anyone know how to solve this, or can I just not play with Ray Tracing yet?

Thanks in advance.

Here are the specs in case those matter:
4K Ultrawide Monitor

MSI RTX 2080Ti

Intel i9 7960X

32GB RAM

Samsung M2 SSD

  • Friend of mine has a 2080 - He said it was very patchy playing BFV with RT on when he could get to work.

RT is not compatible with any other GPU except the 2080 onwards.

    Compatible GPU's

    Nvidia

  • Ironically, I turned on DX12 and raytracing via console command and it actually worked on both an R9 390 and my 1060 3gb, albeit I was getting around 5-10 fps until I turned off raytrace. Now I can't even start the game in DX12 ever since, it just crashes (Raytrace forced off in config even) as soon as it starts to spawn me into a server.
