I haven’t played it or played any cod but it looks good what Iv seen. The customisation of guns looks amazing and each one makes the gun work different. Map size on bfv is my main problem there to big and takes ages to get onto a fight so if there smaller on COD I see that as a good thing

@bharley2005The gun customization is amazing indeed! It really gives you the option the optimize a gun for a very spezific playstyle. Yet again a WW2 themed shooter like BFV doesn't really give the option for that. Looking back to BF4, that game had a great gun customization for its time and I would hope for an amazing one again, if we see another modern warfare Battlefield in the future.
If you haven't tried the COD titles, now is your time. You can still play the beta for free until tomorrow.
However, when mapsize is your problem, why don't you try out Squad Conquest in BF? I guess that is exactly what you are looking for. Cod on the other hand is a completely different experience.
Levelcap said it quiet right in his latest video in my opinion. Cod groundwar makes BFV look like a masterpiece. :D- 6 years ago
Map sizes in bf4 and hardline where spot on and I like playing 32v32. Don’t see the point on huge maps just for the sake of it.

@bharley2005Well there isn´t really a "spot on" mapsize, as everyone has their preferences. In generell, COD always had smaller maps than BF, but the maps where played with less players as well. However, the groundwar mode feels like BF Grind mode without a clear frontline, so it is pur chaos and there is no tacticle approach to the game. Maybe that is what you want in a game and again you can try that for free right now, but I can´t really see someone say that groundwar is a well thought out gamemode.
Considering the mapsize, I would agree, that Hardline has smaller maps in generell, but most BF players never really accepted this itteration of the game as a real BF title. The overall gameplay just feel different from all the other titles.
Comparing the mapsize of BFV and BF4 there osn´t actually to much of a difference (when you leave Halvoy out of this). Niklas Astrand published some nice comparisons for most of the BF maps( every battlefield map ranked according to size). Both games had a similar wide range of mapsize, with the biggest one from BF4 (Golmud Railway) being even bigger than the biggest one from BFV (Panzerstorm). BFV does have a lot of medium sizes maps, but if some of them are too big for your likings , you just have to choose the right ones for you. There are a lot of smaller maps played 32v32 in BFV e.g. Marita, Rotterdam, Devastation, Fjell, Aerodrom and Arras. One these one you can constantly get into firefights without having to run to far.
