Try to give your console a new name in the router.
If there are several consoles on one router, problems can arise with Nat.
Have you tried to use 2 different networks, one console over LAN and the other over Wi-Fi?
If you have done all of the previous things, maybe the only thing that helps is to deal with your internet provider. You either need 2 static ips for your 2 consoles. Or the router is defective / incorrectly set. Maybe a router exchange.

I have tried all the above including the ps4 name change. My house mate has NO issues either. Ive been trying for an hour tonight to get onto a server.
all ports open
all ports and steps followed in the redit page too. Housemate is not home or playing at the moment so it is just me on the connection that is it.
- @Phoonominal69 You actually did everything. So all that remains is your internet provider. Maybe a router exchange. Or your provider can change it so that it works.

if the game wouldn't work with you with both call your internet company or check your internet system as well.
PS4. I'd have thought given I said 2 years ago you'd figure out that it was a typo when I wrote ps5. My bad dude

WELL.... i've a working theory.... i shall test it again tonight..... i may have figured out whats causing the drain.... i'll be back within 24 hours with the test and my results

What did you do to fix it previously? Did you try that again?
@Phoonominal69 Would be interesting to know how you got it working for a couple of weeks. Some others have this problem too, so this information can be helpful.
