This error DOES NOT occur when I disable DirectX 12, however, this is not a good workaround as I lose 40% of my frame rate at (100 fps -> 60 fps) as a result.

  • Hi @EA_Atic, it's apparently not yet my turn to get the latest update. I will see if I can force it and if not, I will report back once it's rolled out to me. Thanks.

  • @FrapFreakdx 12 mostly causes problems, even at low graphics settings i personally haven't seen any noticeably difference, try using optimum settings and enjoy the game )

  • Hey, @FrapFreak  KERNELBASE.dll error is connected to issue with your windows profile. Try another profile and see if that works for you.

  • Hi, thanks for your response. This is a fresh Windows install after I had the same issue prior. Any ideas on the DirectX error?

I would recommend that you reinstall DirectX. When you say fresh install did you do a role back or did you wipe your hard drive that had Windows on it?

  • Drive wipe of all my drives. First thing I did after installing all Windows updates and device drivers was to try BF5 and the same problem persisted. For the sake of thoroughness, I also did a GPU driver wipe before installing the latest NVIDIA drivers.

I also recently found out that a friend of mine is having the same issue with DX12 enabled. He also gets better frame rates and smoother gameplay with it on, but it results in crashes at random times. He also disables DX12 to alleviate the issue. I'msure what video card he's using... I'll ask next time I talk to him.
