Face Paints/ Prosthetic Arms / Fancy Jackets / Mohawks? Is it BF?

Question

I mean Everything in terms of Class, Authenticity & Excitement' Battlefield Franchise have it all; Graphics undoubtedly are the best on the tone' and Story telling is Freaking way entertaining then WHY on Earth they are combining Hardline with an Authentic World War 2 Era? I mean Face Paints / Wicked hair styles / Fancy Jackets Is it warfare between fantasy freaking games like Fortnite and PUBG? Or is it a battle between two Armies the Allied and the Axis Powers.

Minor customization are fine, but using prosthetic arms / legs, Face paints / Knuckle and Samurai hanging at the back of a soldier? what era is it from? If the franchise want to change something they have hundreds of details they can go with, involving tactics, flanking and armored style warfare combined with awesome graphical captures of all time,

In my opinion what i wanted to see after a long time, is an Authentic World War 2 Epic Saga told from a perspective like Battlefield 1 this is why its so popular and have reached at this level. Please dont make it a Frakin' hand to hand melee samurai vs a cooking pan fight out to show attrition but more of a Standard battle group based fighting scenario using the word war 2 Tech styles.

Who knows they come up with a Tiger tank Customized with a shark face? and grand piano hanging on the muzzle ? A snake tied around the 88 MM turret ?

Please keep some authenticity of standard warfare combined with some awesome graphics and soldier movements.

Above is just my community's opinion what do you say ?

Were we there during the war? I think no.

Maybe the customization is weird, but i think all these customization have existed during the war in small proportion of course.

This protetic arm exist in 1945:

Mowhawks and face paints (lot of picture exist)

Jacket have also existed and probably veteran rebel soldier wear it 🙂.

The katana can be a trophy brought back from the pacific war..... All existed alone the quantitative is wrong.

Customization is free and if you want a classic soldier with the proper attire you can.

@Moskolonel&nbsp;ah, yes. the Northrop prosthetics division, which is really old. That is one of their models, made during WW2 (right at the beginning of the war, actually).

After seeing the trailer, i've looked on the web for the history of the prosthetics. And that picture came up, too.&nbsp;

As for the face paint...Sorry, but the damn thing was widely used for camo since the inception of the bloody wars. In the WW1, soldiers would use mud to cover their faces, leaving only the eyes uncovered. Barbarian tribers would use it to terrify their opponents. And so on...

To be honest, i am not sure if the prosthetics will be part of the customization. But i can't see no reason for the face paint not to be.&nbsp;

The US Army in WW2 was notorious for its lack of regimental discipline, with lots officers fraternizing with the troop, allowing unusual deviations from the uniforms. In exchange, the troop would perform adequately during battles, as trained and instructed. That kind of behaviour horrified the brits and not only.&nbsp;

@AnieeZeus Nice to hear your opinion too, thank's for sharing.

Basically nobody needs to use all the face paints, prosthetic Arms ect. stuff!
These things are part of the big opportunities they give you to customize your Soldiers/Vehicles.

But it's not needed to equip all these things, and some of them will even be Team locked as well. Depends on which fraction you will be playing.

And EA/DICE always tries to put in as much historical accuracy as possible if it comes to a shooter setting like WW2.
So it's probably all really been part of the fights during WW2. 🙂
