I haven't tried a reinstall yet.
Also, like Adman said, it's not every time for me either but it's often enough that it's causing trouble. I haven't had one that lasts quite as long as a second or two, but it definitely stutters long enough to make me lose a battle or at the very least, throw me off.
Patch on this is inbound tomorrow (based on the patch notes). So it looks like it was the game all along and not our systems (as I was suggesting).
Got the patch and still I have a massive frame drop when shooting, getting shot or even when a enemy is nerby (just 5-10 FPS for this one). I've got 60fps stable but this breaks the game. I really like firestorm but can't play it this way...
