Fliegerfaust balancing

So I have to say this here too.

Hate to say this but even Hardline's Scout Heli is more enjoyable and balanced than BFV's planes after the skyshotgun was added (Fliegerfaust).

5 meters of detonation range with full damage and extended range is still going to be OP, 5 times last round I was killed in 1 shot because they shot my bombs.

Also even if you dodge an incoming skyshotgun you get the FULL damage because of the detonation range.

Plus the extended range will be interesting since the skyshotgun can already reach planes at max altitude on Iwo Jima from mount Suribachi, with more range it will reach higher than planes can.

After 10+ plane nerfs adding a 1 shot 1 kill gun for every infantry is at best unbalanced.

If  it is not majorly nerfed it should become a battle pickup just like the katana and other 1 shot guns.

Every game of battlefield until now had a way for pilots to dodge incoming missiles meant for anti-air.

Unguided rockets in BF3,4,1 needed precise, perfect aim and had no "detonation range" when used against air vehicles.

Infantry players can too easily take out a plane now and quite possibly after the next update, that is why they camp at the ammo boxes and just wait for a plane to get 'close'.

Make some tests and see how many times a plane wins versus just 2 campers with the skyshotgun.

BALANCING!?? Now planes are OP as fu**. Fliegerfaust is * useless!!! Planes have from this point on no natural * enemies. They are the top of the food chain. I know there is a slight * chance for a mouse to kill a snake, but for * sake! Dont cut of the mouses feet god dammit!

As someone who flies flies planes consistently in this game I can tell you right now that the AAs are far more powerful than you may realize. A single 40mm AA can used properly can completely shut down an aircraft before the aircraft can put that AA in range of it's guns/missiles or bombs. Even before the update I was more concerned with the AAs than the Flieger, so why not give it a go, don't go out and just shoot blind, be patient, get them within 200m and see how quick they drop.

Bomb them from height. Ju88, and beaufort both have multi small drops capable of scattering, i use bomb loadout in oacific.

I do agree the damage model on these things ia just too big, but maybe speed up load time but decrease damage. Its kinda an all or nothing attack.

I disagree that they should be pickups. A good pilot can easily ignore these things and once identified they are weak especially if you are using 20mm canon. Also the issue is once a good pilot gets up, aa and even flak tanks dont pose much of a threat.

Not sure what you are talking about in bf4and bf 3 as both had multiple types of guided shoulder launched anti air.

JAVs were extremely dangerous back in the day, way more than the Fliegerfaust could possibly dream of being so I think we are in a fairly good place.

Small tweaks are always something to consider though; I would be content with 40 damage and 2 rounds of ammo - enough to deter pilots solo, be dangerous with a dedicated squad, and weak/slow enough to still allow good pilots to escape
