FPS and Refresh rate warnings

Hello folks

would really appreciate a little help.

When I played the beta for BF5 I had no issues at all with my GTX1060 card, however since release I have encountered low FPS and refresh rate warnings, FPS warnings sometimes in red and the game does not seem to be all that smooth as it did before.

I have since purchased a GTX 1070 ti and still have the same issues.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Windows 10 64bit (build 17134)

Intel Core i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60Ghz

32GB RAM

Nvidia GTX 1070 ti 8GB and updated

  • I have solved the issue

I had to go into Nvidia control panel and change the following setting for the Battlefield V game app

    Opened Nvidia control panel

    Manage 3D settings

Programme settings tab and select Battlefield 5

Power management mode to maximum performance

Texture filtering quality to high performance

Texture filtering anisotropic sample to on

    texture filtering trilinear to on

    threaded optimisation to on

I would like to point out that Nvidia tech support were absolutely useless and it was the gaming community that helped with this as it always seems to be.

Hope this helps someone out in the future.

    Happy gaming

  • Hello there Barry

I have tried both of the solutions you suggested and the issues is still there.

I am also using the optimal settings from Nvidia, minus the dx12

    To date I have tried

Setting power options on the card to maximum performance through the nvidia control panel

    updating windows 10

    updating graphics drivers

    defrag

    CC cleaner

    turning off DX12

    lowering settings

    Nothing seems to work.

  • What are your CPU and GPU temps?

    What's your framerate?

You can find it by going to the settings in Origin under the in game overlay setting and enabling FPS counter.

Is your resolution set to the same refresh rate as your monitor?

Check your monitor's manual. If its 59.95hz then make sure your resolution matches. If it's true 60hz then ensure your resolution matches it.
