  • I already said earlier that I solved the problem. The reason was overclocking.
At the moment I have already raised the timings on 12-12-12 28 2133, this overclocking does not cause crashes of the game.
Let me remind you that the crashes were on 11-11-12 28.

  • Hey @raingotme,

Thanks for all the information you provided.

Have you tried any of these steps?

    1. Turn off Origin in-game Overlay in the Origin Launcher

    2. Clear Origin Cache: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

    3. Uninstall/Reinstall Origin: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/manually-uninstalling-origin/

    4. Make sure you're running DX11, and not DX12

    5. Run Origin, and the Battlefield V exe file as Administrator

    6. Uninstall/Reinstall Battlefield V (Do this last if nothing else works)

Let us know if any of these help.

    Thanks 🙂

Hi, thank you so much for your time.

    1-3.  5 and 6 did not help.

I have no idea how to run BF V with DX11, isn't it automatic if the game doesn't support DX12?

Can it be my RTX 2070? I am already disappointed with this RTX experience.

    Hey @raingotme,

If you go to your Graphics/Video settings in game, there should be an option to enable/disable DX12, and run DX11.

    Have you tried this?

    Thanks 🙂

I can't get into the game...

after I launch it I get this "upward packman" icon on the black screen and in 5 sec  it crashes

  • i have some issue (play game, freezing 1 sec and crush to desktop with generating crush dump with code 0xc0000005)

This happen after RTX 2070 installed.
I so many done and found cause.
    This is RAM overclocking.
Before RTX 2070 installed i have GTX 780 and playing without problems on overclocked RAM DDR3 11-11-12 28 2133.
Return to stock (9-9-10 27 1600) no crush more.
    May be this help someone.

Hey, @Ezno_Randall, make sure that all drivers for windows and your gpu drivers are up to date.

You can also try to do a clean boot to see if there any programs messing with Battlefield V and turn off any overlay programs for example Discord or Nvidia experience.

Try running a CCleaner to remove old temp files and cache.

Let me know if this works or not for you. 🙂

  • Since this is the first result on Google for this error I would like to add my experience.

As other users already pointed out this error is caused by RAM. The game crashed because it was unable to read some specific address in the RAM. I ran Memtest on my PC and it failed. I'm not sure if my RAM is faulty or my PC just gets too hot. So I went into BIOS and disabled the XMP profile (XMP is some kind of predefined overclock settings for the RAM). Now my RAM is using 2666 MHz instead of 3600 MHz. So it is a bit slower but I don't notice any difference and can play without crashes.
So the solution to the problem is: Go to BIOS and Underclock your RAM until Memtest succeeds. If it doesn't work you might need to replace your RAM or in rare cases even the motherboard.
